Today I analysed a video from awolination-sail and took the ideas and put into my table. The video when only listening to it sounds like a song which gets you pumped up to do whatever but when I analysed it I found out it has a completely opposite feel to it when you watch the video and actually look at what is happening....
This is the analysis I did on the video. The video is actually about suicide and coming to terms about what is chasing him and that the character leaves a recording for his family/friends about what is happening and you eventually find out it is either aliens or he goes to heaven as the bright lights can be either one. It is a very smart video as it has two takes, one without the music video and one with, without the video it is a song you listen to before doing something bug but with the video it is a bit depressing and does the opposite.
From this is have learnt that I could maybe use something like this in our music video as it is a really smart way of giving a song two different styles but it doesn't change. The idea works very well and I think it is good for this genre of music but maybe in ours it may not be what we want but it is something still to talk about with the others and see what they think.
