The oh hellos

Me and the group have chosen the group we would like to choose for our music video, the group are called 'the oh hellos' and they are unsigned meaning we are free to use the music, we have also got a idea for our song, it is called 'trees' and we feel this is a great song to use, we will work more on this though and post about it later after thinking thoroughly.

The band describes themselves as this;
 “The Oh Hellos are Maggie and Tyler Heath, intentionally-independent self-produced music-making siblings hailing from the ...great state of Texas. Their influences range from Los Campesinos! and The Lumineers to Sufjan Stevens and The Middle East, bending and blending styles and genres into a unique mixture of eclectic folk rock.”..

Tyler heath first began creating folk music in 2007, recording himself independently, releasing 3 albums in total.
The band began their journey in 2011, when Tyler’s sister, Maggie, joined him releasing an independently produced self-titled EP.  The success received from their release gave the band an identity in the Texas music scene leading to a season of touring that continued their success across America and becoming more and more well known
On the 30th October 2012 the duo released a full album, a collection of 11 songs called “Through the deep, dark valley”.  The bands prominence in the folk rock scene grew even more and the band received greater, positive reviews as a direct result of the album and more people started recognising there music and the singers themselves.

The Oh Hellos have also experienced and gained attention in social media. Their Facebook page has over 20,000 likes and their twitter has a similar amount of followers. On Youtube, their uploaded songs have many impressive viewing figures; their most popular song “Hello my old heart” has 446,000 views as of 08/10/2013, the day this is posted, and this is growing day by day!
