Music video filming!

Today we filmed our music video and have done what was needed to be shot at our location, Bawsey Pits in Kings Lynn. We left at 8am as planned with everyone needed (all actors me and Karl). We got to the location by 9.45 and we started filming instantly as we felt we needed to get this done and we had the day only to do so. We started off by being in the car par and started form where the video started and went from there. We instantly found fault and that was that we forgot the chalk for the clapper board but we improvised and just renamed all files to the shot scene so it was easier to find once we were home and editing.

The weather was not the best today. There was rain on the ground and it was very muddy all around like we spoke about in the risk assessment and this could have instantly been a problem but we coped throughout the day and it did get better later on with sun which was great for our music video as we wanted it to be sunny at the end. There was no slips from anybody throughout the day and we successfully kept continuity throughout the music video and it worked very well.

While we were filming the video I kept making a 'behind the scenes' video getting views from the actors and how they felt the day was going, I also filmed shots being made so that we could have evidence of how it was being filmed and how it was being directed.
here is the video as I edited this already:

I think the positions we chose to take were also correct to. Karl was a good director and he took a good management role on what was happening. I also think I did a good job because I positioned the characters the way we wanted and also when filming I got some good results and good parts for our music video. I also think I gave good ideas on the day also for parts we were not sure about and I think overall we did a good job together.

I think Carl also did a good job because he acted how we wanted and he knew better than us on how the characters should be dressed and their emotions at certain times. He also gave valuable information when needed on how the shot should be positioned and told us some good points when is was not correct.

I think today went very well considering the weather as nobody got hurt and we got all the shots we wanted and we will be filming the prologue and scene after the video shortly also when me, Karl and Carl can all find a time slot available.
